Bruxinha Juju is in production and is scheduled to premiere in April 2025.
Juju’s parents have recently divorced, and as the family packs up their belongings to move out of Juju’s childhood home, a forgotten box is discovered in the back of a closet. After investigating its contents, Juju believes her grandmother was a witch: the box is filled with magical artifacts, books, and even a wand! Looking for a distraction from real life, Juju decides to become a self-taught witch using her newly discovered family heirlooms as her guide. She makes flyers promoting her services as a supernatural detective, wanting to use her powers for good and learn more about magic in the process.
It turns out that learning magic isn't easy. Even as she makes new friends and learns about the supernatural creatures in her world, Juju begins to feel like maybe she's not cut out to be a witch. Until one strange person begins to lurk in Juju's shadow, offering subtle advice and tips to help her through the process of learning magic—like ensuring that Juju finds a familiar to call her own.
Juju is determined to discover the identity of this person —and finally master a spell—but her encounters with the supernatural just keep getting more and more absurd. Juju juggles trying to figure out what it's like to actually be a witch, dealing with her parents' divorce, and helping humans and supernatural beings live together.
More than anything, Juju needs to figure out who she is and who she can trust… and maybe even learn to trust herself.
